Q. Question?
Ok like I have some serious drama goin on'. Lately I've taken basketball as a hobby, you know..to stay healthy and everything. So everyday or two, I go to the basketball court with a few of my muslimah friends, we totally rockin' the chavy tracksuit innit.
Anyway, there's this girl called Ronda Yavonda. She's 5 ft 10 and I'm 4 ft 5. Whenever she comes to the basketball court, she always makes fun of me and she's like "Hey you midget! You're so short! Imma come squish you!! Coz Im a GIANT" She's always threatens to squish me, its so mean I know. I get so scared, I shiver like a penguin.
So then I went home crying in the pouring rain and told my mother what happened. My mother got scared and she said "you're moving with your aunt and uncle in Bel-air!" So I whisted for a taxi and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this taxi was rare but I thought nah, forget it go home to Bel-air! I trotted up to the house about seven or eight and yelled to the taxi "See you later!" and I looked at my kingdom I was finally there to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air.
And now I have to put up with my preppy, uncool cousin Carlton and my fat, bald Uncle Phil! Even he threatens to squish me.

Q. Question?
Hey, im a 17 years old guy, and i have to get braces soon because i have an overbite and crowded teeth. What is the whole process of getting braces put on. I just got spacers put in yesterday. Is there any rules you have to follow. Will i need a special mouth guard to play sports, preferably basketball ?
A. Best Answer: To get your braces put on, it takes between 1 and a half hours-3 hours. It took 3 hours, but expander wouldn't fit. You'll be about 2 hours. 1st, you watch a corny ass video about brushing, flossing, eating, and sports. 2nd, sit in the chair and the chick will clean your teeth really good, then she'll take a last minute impression of your bands (metal things that go where your spacers are). Then, you get those put in, taken out, if it fits, she'll cement it in place, then she'll make sure it fits, if not, you're gonna cry if it's dry. Next, you'll get special glue then, each bracket will go on and she'll this big flashlight w/ a UV ray and keep it on EACH tooth for a minute. She'll check all your teeth and then she'll put the wire on, when you pick your bands, don't get: clear, yellow, green(looks like spinach). Go for blue and blacks, darker colors. Then, she'll tighten them a bit. You might get an expander, thing at the roof of your mouth, that'll take longer. She'll check. Then you sit and wait for the real ortho to check you and you leave with supplies, and yeah you probably will need a mouth guard. No gummies, chewies, or hard foods. You'll want Mac and cheese and PB&J the first day.
Q. Question?
Ive been trying to figure out this song for ages
http://www.negdupree.com/urbansports.html The song is on "My Ball" and starts around 0.36 on the basketball court when the timer starts.
Thanks!
A. Best Answer: Hi mate, it's: The Teardrop Explodes - Reward
Lyrics:
Bless my cotton socks I'm in the news
The king sits on his face buttons all askew
All wrapped up the same
All wrapped up the same
They can't have it
You can't have it
I can't have it too
Until I learn to accept my reward
Princes stand in queues they stand accused
Death in solitude like Howard Hughes
All wrapped up the same
All wrapped up the same
Silence has it
Arrogance has it
I can have it ooh
Until I learn to accept my reward
Suddenly it struck me very clear
Suddenly it struck me very clean
All wrapped up the same
All wrapped up the same
You can't have it
I can't have it too
Until I learn to accept my reward
Until I learn to accept my reward
Until I learn to accept my reward

A. Best Answer: you just need to show them how well you can play, if your successful they'll start respecting you as a player and might even become friends with them.
if you don't go back you'll just be using your magic jersey for show!
Q. Question?
I have this condition and its really painful in my spine becuase i cant sit down for long periods of time. I frequently cannot go to sleep as a result and am missing school. I don't know whats wrong becuase I was on the basketball & football team but ive stopped now incase it gets worse. I still eat healthily, a lot of rice as im bangladeshi. What could I do?
my doctors ive seen already over the past moonth but they dont even know what todo as they just give me painkillers that dont even work
A. Best Answer: You will find some hard factual information at this site - it is written in medical language but comes from a reputable site that was recommended to me by a hospital doctor. There may be some easier to digest information in the patient info section if you would prefer it.
http://www.patient.co.uk/doctor/Scheuermann's-Disease.htm
Pain is a problem. One thing is that the more you fret about it the worse it feels, the more tense you get the worse it feels, the more you think about it the worse it feels.
Talk to your doctor about the pain, the first trick is to subdue it, even if it means using higher doses or different pain killers at first. Once you have subdued it and started to relax then you can start to reduce your pain killers until you find a level which leaves you with mild discomfort.
I had trouble sleeping and my rheumatologist suggested a very low dose of amitriptyline (10mg) and I find that if I take it between 8 and 9pm then I sleep better but feel reasonably awake in the morning. In high doses it was developed as an anti-depressant but in low doses seems to work as a slow release pain killer, a couple of friends of mine use it as well and we all seem to find it helpful. I don't know how old you are but there are age recommendations for it so it may not be suitable.
Good luck
Q. Question?
Q1)Players will only be considered for the university men's basketball team if they are over 1.90m tall. The heights of the male students are Normally distributed with mean 1.79 m and standard deviation 9 cm. Roughly 60% of all students are male.
a)What is the probability that a student selected at random is male and at least 1.90m tall?
b)If a group of 20 students is selected completely at random, what is the probability that at least 3 are eligible for the men's basketball team?
Q2)Finding 6 coins in his pocket, Aloysius proposes a game of chance. He will toss all 6 coins; let X denote the number of heads obtained. Persephone will then toss all the coins which came up tails when Aloysius tossed them. Let Y denote the number of heads Persephone obtains.
a)Calculate the expectation of Y.
b)Write down the conditional probability function of X given that Y = 3.
c)Explain why you would expect the covariance between X and Y to be negative.
d)Calculate Cov(X, Y) and ?X,Y.
e)Persephone will pay Aloysius £1 for every Head Aloysius manages to obtain; Aloysius will pay Persephone £2 for every Head Persephone gets. Let Z represent Aloysius' net profit from one game. Calculate the expectation and variance of Z

Q. Question?
So im in year 10 and need to start thinking about my future ahead of me...
i'm not sure if i should choose between dancing as it has always been my dream or teaching of children under the age of 8...
i was watching HSM3 the other day and thorght is there any college in Surrey-England that would offer me both a qualification in child care AND dance at the same place like troy got basketball and theatre..
so my question is..
is there any colleges in Surrey-England that can offer a dance AND child care qualification ???
thankyouu x
A. Best Answer: Wow! Unusual mixture. I'm not going to be much help but I noticed nobody else had answered you.
You could choose Teaching or Childcare at College and follow Dance as a interest/hobby. Or how about Teaching disabled/disadvantaged children to Dance - there's a combination. Maybe 'Google' or see a teacher at your school who will forward you onto Careers Guidance. Good Luck.
Q. Question?
Hello i have a severe case of FEAR from testicle torsion... ok ive never had testicle torsion.... but im sooo scared of getting it and losing my testicle or BOTH ..... ok here's my problem
I LOVE SPORTS !!! and i didnt even play sports this year " basketball and baseball " because i was sooo afraid of getting a testicle torsion !! i wont run, jump sit down rite or anything like that !! what can i do to get over this fear ?
Also is this normal my testicle kinda sits at a off angle in not perfectly verticle it kinda leans outward just slightly
ALSO WOULD I KNOW IF I HAD A TORSION WOULD THERE ALWAYS BE SEVERE PAIN ? OR JUST SOME OF THE TIME ... ALSO WHY DO ALOT OF MEN LOSE THERE TESTICLE TO THIS
A. Best Answer: Basically your fear is almost in the nature of a phobia, and is totally unjustified, Torsion is excruciatingly painful and fortunately very rare indeed. I saw I think 3 in my whole medical career, one infant and 2 adults. They were all diagnosed quickly and treated successfully with surgery with no testicles lost!
Q. Question?
right im 6ft 2" and i can only do layups but i want to dunk,
so if anyone can help me improve my jump so i can dunk it will be helpfull
cheers :)
A. Best Answer: If you really want to improve your vertical jump, first you need to figure out what type of Jumper you are, a power jumper or a leaper, as using optimal biomechanics is just as important as having explosive muscle power. Next you need to figure out what type of power or strength you are lacking. The three basic types of strength are: Base strength, transitional power, and explosiveness or "Reactive" power, they are all different and must be trained in different ways. Now I know a lot of you are wondering what's the difference between the three. Well in short Base Strength is how much weight you can move, Transitional Power is how fast you can move said weight and explosiveness is the maximum speed and distance you can move said weight with each single movement. A good Vertical Jump training routine will include the following exercises:
Base Strength
1: Traditional Squats and Pistol Squats
2: Deadlifts/base building olympic lifts
3: Lunges
4: Core Work (Functional Performance Core Strength= The ability to make your pelvis and spine "lock" and work as a single stable unit, not simply having a 6 pack or being able to do 100 crunches)
5: Stretching
Transitional Power:
1: Box Squats/Tempo Squats
2: Power Cleans
3: Push Press
4: Core Work
5: Stretching
Explosiveness:
1: Ballistic and jump squats
2: Traditional and Compound/Hybrid Plyometrics
3: Sprinting
4: Core Work
5: Stretching
You'll also want to figure out which individual muscles/muscle groups are working inefficiently. You can figure this out by completing a full vertical jump test progression and a baseline fitness test to diagnose any muscle imbalances that you may have. Remember no matter what type of training program you do you must make sure that opposing muscles are strengthened and balanced (e.g. Quads and hamstrings, abs and lower back) so don't skip the quad extensions and hamstring curls. If opposing muscles are not strengthened they will lead to weak links, energy leaks and imbalances will result in poor or slow improvement and raise the risk of injury significantly. Do a routine that combines plyomertic/bodyweight, free weight and or acceleration routines. Make sure you are consuming lots of protein to aid in muscle repair after tough workouts You'll also want to replenish your bodies ATP and glycogen stores as they are the fuel for those type IIa and type IIb muscle fibers you will be (AKA FG and FOG) shredding during your workout. In order to gain inches you'll need to tax your central nervous system and force your body to create new motor pathways. If you train correctly you should gain at least an inch a week.
